Shadewing ripped her orbs from Graystar and turned them on Squirrelstar. She raised an eyebrow at the leader but said nothing more for she knew her belief had been stated, and stated well at that. Clearly, she was unconvinced of Squirrelstar's indignant excuse for a rebuttle. 'Great arguement o wise leader. Now we believe you.' came a snicker of though in her head. When Sleetwind grunted, she swiveled her ears towards him but kept her eyes locked on Squirrelstar, a look of mistrust clouding her gleaming golden eyes. She made no attempt to leave the subject and make friendlier conversation as her gaze turned to an unwavering stare.[/size]

Sleetwind tilted his head to that. Invited, that never happened unless there was a huge problem that couldn't be solved by one clan. This was really strange and for that reason it was striking his interest. He sat up straight and tilted his dark ears forward to listen to the responce.

Shadewing smiled at the leader's foolish remark and said, "Ah yes. But then you would have just said so instead of inventing that story about scenting us, which was clearly impossible, wouldn't you?" Shadewing's features broke into a snide leer, because she knew quite well after Squirrelstar's last remark that she had not been in fact been invited but instead had tresspassed when she came over to visit with Graystar. She knew the leader was Graystar's friend, and had probably only wanted to come and say hello, but all she had had to do was state that this was so and all suspicions would have been dropped long ago.
Shadewing decided to let the matter drop, for it was apparent from what she said and the way she sat uneasily, that the RainClan leader was poorly defended. She smirked at her for a moment longer before meowing, "So, is it true that RainClan cats enjoy the rain as much as the rumors say? Was your clan really named after a cat that loved the rain?" Usually, Shadewing did not listen to rumors, but she was interested in knowing the history of this other clan.

Squirrelstar was surprised at how quickly they had changed the subject. She tilted her head to the side."Umm yeah RainClan does love the rain"she mewed in answer to the question asked. She told the history of RainClan to these Grayclanners. She concluded with :Thats RainClans history".She sat up straight smiling.

Graystar's whiskers twitched as he listened to Squirrelstar talk about RainClan's history. "Intresting." he mumured. His gaze flicked to Shadewing. She suspects something of Squirrelstar. he thought. "My brother once lead RainClan." he stated. "He died of a surprise attack from rouges." he growled as he thought of the rouge who killed his younger brother.

Sleetwind nodded his head in grief to his leader. Though he would never know the loss one felt when they loose a brother because he was born a lonely kit with no litter mates to share that special bond with. He lowered his head in self pity and again began to stare at his paws through the awkward silence.

"Yes I knew your brother Graystar"mewed Squirrelstar saddly. She had thought he was a great cat and leader. To bad she had been an apprentice when he was killed. She would of liked to have known him better.

The large GrayClan leader nodded, "You were lucky then. Few cats knew my brother." he calmly stated. "He was defiant, like me and my father. He told me he didn't want to be beneath me. He wanted to lead his own Clan and so he did." he smiled at the thought.

Emerging from a tangle of brambles, sopping wet and looking quite defiant, Pantherpelt pads over to the group. "Then if you weren't trespassing, explain why I was able to follow you, you seemed so nonchalant as you stalked the scent markers. Then you practically bolted over here as if a badger was on your heels." Shaking himself briskly and sending a muddy shower everywhere, he dig his claws in the ground and licks his nose.

Sleetwind was not happy with his mud shower. He was tired of playing this game were that didn't make sence. They hadn't gotten out anything from the femme leader and he wasn't sure they ever would. With a grunt he began to clean the mud that had been sprayed on his from his dark coat so that it wouldn't get matted.

Graystar's whiskers twitched as he flicked mud that had landed on his nose off. "Pantherpelt." he greeted his deputy. His blue eyes seemed to laugh as he watched Sleetwind clean himself.

Sleetwind let out another annoyed grunt. He licked his shoulder a few more times then decided he had cleaned everything within his reach.
